I READ Mr A G Reeson's letter about Prince Harry's behaviour, (January 17). In reply to his three questions - of course it will all be 'swept under the carpet'. These sorry episodes have been spun as effectively as even Alastair Campbell could have managed.
Since Princess Diana's death, Prince Charles has been desperate to repackage himself and Camilla and, because of Harry's behaviour, he has had a heaven-sent opportunity to reinforce his image as a caring concerned father.
I find it incredible that he hadn't noticed what had been going on since Harry was 12.
However, I think there is an even more important aspect to consider.
Who is considered to be the brightest hope for the long term survival of the monarchy - William, of course - the charming, handsome, photogenic, clever, modest and apparently-faultless Prince Charming.
I understand William accompanied Harry on these jaunts for many years, and his behaviour was not noticeably different. This has not widely been reported. That is why the Queen has called a temporary truce with Prince Charles and supported him in what, indeed, is a whitewash.
