MY 12 year old daughter Sarah and I read with interest Turpin's comments about Ian Kelsey ('Have a heart, doc', January 19).
There are always two sides to people. Several weeks ago one Sunday evening, my daughter was in our local shop when I saw a man coming out who I thought was Ian Kelsey.
Suddenly my excited daughter ran from the shop to tell me, yes, that's exactly who she had seen. She had been waiting in the queue inside, recognised him and he spoke to her.
When she asked him: "You're Doctor Patrick aren't you?", he said "yes" and he would wave to her next time he was on TV.
Turpin may not think Ian Kelsey has a heart but my 12 year old daughter would totally disagree, he made her day. It was heart-warming to see Ian is not like many of the celebrities these days who have no time for their fans.
So, sorry Turpin, but Ian Kelsey does have a heart.
