WOODTHORPE Warriors ran riot in division three of the York Sunday Afternoon league by thrashing strugglers CB United 23-1.
Leading the rout was J Haw with eight goals while Morscott (5), R Haw (3), Furby (2), Belleh, Marshall, Brown and Davidson were all on the scoresheet for Warriors.
Kyle Nichols hit United's lone reply. CB's star performer was goalkeeper Nigel Dowker who normally plays as an outfield defender.
In contrast to CB United, Haxby United Spartans are going great guns and made it nine wins out of nine matches when goals by G Rylance and P Cruickshank earned them a 2-0 win over Millfield.
Cygnet, at the foot of the division, gave a much improved display but were beaten 4-2 by Gimcrack. A Pattison scored both Cygnet goals.
Fossway recorded their sixth first division win of the season when goals by Gamble, Empson and Lias gave them a 3-0 victory at Fossway 103.
Stuart Burton scored twice as College of Law beat Wigginton Grasshoppers 2-1 in division two. Grasshoppers score was an own goal.
Saville AV clocked up their ninth win on the trot with goals by Bradshaw, Collins, Haywood and Melsom beating Drum 4-0.
Knavesmire's Fallon scored a hat-trick as his side drew 3-3 with Rawcliffe United whose Tony Oxley, Steve Rollinson and Micky Martin were on target.
