Malton and Norton's Simon Dyson shot a one under par first round in the Johnnie Walker Classic in Perth Australia today.
The clubhouse leader was Thailand's T Jaidee who was five under par and two shots clear of nearest rivals Michael Campbell (New Zealand) and Sergioo Garcia (Spain).
Dyson won £4,100 by finishing joint 30th in the Dunhill Golf Championship which took place at Hough in South Africa. Dyson is now 17th in the European Tour Volvo Order of Merit with prize money of £31,556 after four tournaments.
