MEANWHILE, those guardians of our history at English Heritage are waxing lyrical about the superb architecture of Yorkshire's prisons. No doubt the lags of Full Sutton will now consider themselves most fortunate to be holed up in such beautifully designed cells.
In the light of this, perhaps the prison authorities could begin charging an entrance fee to our local jails. All proceeds going to York Minster, of course.
