The third round of the Acomb Tackle York Winter League saw Bar Six move ahead of the pack with victory on a bream dominated Ouse below York.
With the river carrying two feet of coloured water it was tough going for the 115 competitors, the odd fish making all the difference.
Rod Chalk led for the Bar Six boys from the stump in the Donkeywoods.
Fishing a caster feeder with worm 'Fido' he netted a decent bream plus a brace of skimmers for his 5lb 10oz.
Tony Stevenson (Cobblers) was top weight on the Fulford bank from the Cable Hole.

Saturday's 54 entry Bob.Co match on the Ouse was split between the Leeds waters at Thorpe Underwood.
Surprisingly it was the unfancied latter section that turned up trumps again for the previous week's winner Steve Smith (Marsh Tackle).
Drawn 29 at the top of Poppleton sand bed he worked mid-river with a caster feeder baiting with worm for a 3lb bream and six roach scaling 4lb 9oz.
Top weight at Thorpe went to Andy Dargue (Darlington Angling Centre), who took a last cast chub of 3lb 7oz on bomb and bread from peg 11.

It was no better on the Ouse the following day, with fish unusually hard to find in the Marsh Tackle open match.
Pete Rambow jnr (Cleveland Angling Centre), who was making his first visit to the venue at Hunters and Linton, had a runaway victory in the 52-peg event.
Drawn end peg 295 above Linton Lock he fished groundbait feeder with a lob worm tail hookbait.
A brace of slabs plus half a dozen skimmers found it to their liking as he blitzed the contest with 15lb 10oz.
Tommy Pitts (Marsh Tackle) also had bream to thank for his runners-up bag. Drawn 268 on the fence end at Linton he took a single fish of 6lb 2oz on legered worm.

Strong winds hampered the 52 competitors at the Oaks. Danien Bracken (Trevs of Wilmslow) opted to fish short to combat the conditions and targeted the deep water at nine metres from peg 22.
Fishing single maggot he had carp to 3lb in winning net of 28lb 8oz.
Ray Wallace (Big Waters) also fished short on peg 32 and was rewarded with 22lb 14oz of fish to 4lb on maggot over Sillybait.

Despite carrying two feet of floodwater and rising, the Ure at Ripon produced several double figure weights in Sunday's 77-peg Ripon open match.
Gary Bullock (Tadcaster) led from unfancied peg 219 below Hutton Beck. Fishing a bread feeder mid river he netted 11 chub to 3lb on flake for his 25lb 12oz.
Cliff Lofthouse (Ripon) had a hectic start to the match, netting all his 16lb 5oz in the opening 90 minutes.
Inching a stick and caster down the crease on peg 137 opposite Myers Hole he had two good chub, seven chublets and six grayling before the rising waters put paid to his action.
