MORE than 3,300 homes in York lost power today because of a fault.
Customers in Huntington, Haxby and Strensall were affected by the power cut, which left some homes without electricity for more than an hour this morning.
Chiefs at the electricity company NEDL have blamed an underground cable fault on its high voltage system.
An NEDL spokeswoman said: "An underground cable fault appears to be to blame. Our engineers are at work investigating the cause."
