I WOULD like to thank the two boys and two women who came to my assistance on Lord Mayors Walk over Christmas. I had been to see my husband at York District Hospital and was rushing to catch the Malton bus home. I had a blackout.
After being examined at the hospital, doctors said I needed a pacemaker; one was fitted the next day. We are both at home now and doing nicely. Many thanks to everybody.

...I HAVE just been in Ward 26 at York District Hospital for yet another operation and would like to thank all the nurses and surgeons and doctors for looking after me.
They are all very professional, very kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble.
I thank them all very much, but I do hope I don't see them all again!
Mrs J Dawson,
Butcher Terrace, York.
