In division six of the Yorkshire League, City of York III lost 4-2 at Adel III. York competed well in the first-half and deserved their goals from Becky Copperthwaite and Susie Orton. But, with the score at 2-2, they lost influential midfielder Wendy Harington to an accidental eye injury which left them short-handed for the whole of the second-half in which Adel scored twice to win the game.
City of York IV had better fortune in division seven with a 3-0 home win against Halifax & Calder IV. With Sam Fenning having an excellent game, York were dominant throughout. The visitors' keeper made some fine saves to keep the score down but could not prevent York's goals from Steph Pearson (2) and Jasmine Radcliffe.
Acomb Ladies I let a two-goal lead slip as they were held to a 2-2 at Bedale.
A long drive and a cold wet day did not dampen Acomb spirits as they took a 2-0 lead.
Unfortunately the same as the previous week they could not hold on for the full three points as Bedale pulled a goal back and even later into the game scored a second as the teams shared the points.
Missed chances put paid to the hopes of Acomb Ladies II as they lost 3-0 at Ben Rhydding.
With only ten players Acomb should have won this game more to go in 3-1.
In the second half, Acomb threw players forward. but they failed to take capitalise on their openings.
Ben Rhydding on the other hand created few chances but took them as they ran out winners.
Tadcaster Ladies I were impressive form as they beat Doncaster Independents 4-0 with goals by Sarah Pedder, Lucy McNamara, Bec Cattle and Carey Hooley.
Tad finished the game with ten players as Liz Ransome had to leave the field after taking a stick on the chin.
