JUST nine points were scored in the York Groves-Undercliffe clash in division four of the Pennine League but unfortunately it was the Terriers who lost out by the odd point.
Having beaten their Bradford-based opponents away earlier in the season, Groves were unable to capitalise on home advantage, going down 5-4.
In a game controlled by defensive tactics, the visitors were the first to score with a drop goal followed by an unconverted try, but York's Adie Beales crossed for a try for the Terriers to bring them back in the game.
Groves were the better side in the second half, but they could not turn their superiority into points with chances spurned by poor handling and a lack of control.
