POCKLINGTON won their Leeper Hare York and District Football League premier division clash with close rivals Old Malton.
Their 2-0 victory gives them a point lead over Dringhouses, 7-0 winners over New Earswick, whole Old Malton slip to third place.
Pock' took the lead with a Dave Ablett penalty but it needed some fine saves by home goalkeeper Carl Stillborn to keep Malton at bay.
Ten minutes from the end Owen Ellis made the points safe but the game was marred when Ken Goodwin fractured a leg five minutes from time.
Dunnington, who beat old Malton last week, maintained their form with a 4-0 win at Riccall with goals from Chris Burgess, Rob Hart, Andy Rose and Mal Pepper. To compound a miserable day for Riccall, their goalkeeper was sent off towards the end of the game.
In-form Dringhouses swamped New Earswick 7-0 with goals from Andy Barkway (2), Gary Kitson, Neil Scoreby, Karl Young, Steve Harrison and an own goal.
Crayke did well to hold Huntington to a 2-2 draw after losing their goalkeeper early on.
Les Barker gave Crayke the lead but his side was forced into a reshuffle after their regular ''keeper was injured. Mark Hutchinson equalised but Tim Jackson restored Crayke's lead before Jamie Seal notched the equaliser.
Graham Cannon's deflected effort five minutes from time gave Kartiers a 2-1 win at Rufforth. Andrew Woodhall had given the Selby side the lead before Rufforth's Paul Moss netted the equaliser in the 76th-minute.
Dave Allison was on target twice as Bishopthorpe beat Rowntrees 4-2. Tony Harford and Simon Dwyer also netted for Bishops.
Joe Gaughan scored both'Trees goals and both sides had a man sent off but the defeat leaves Rowntrees struggling at the bottom with Riccall.
Copmanthorpe are going to take some stopping at the top of division two after winning 2-1 at Stamford Bridge with a Mark Allison injury-time goal.
James Willmoth had given Bridge the lead in the 20th-minute and there 15 minutes to go when Darren Starkey equalised for Copmanthorpe.
Stillington shocked visitors Barmby Moor with a 3-0 win thanks to Steve Johnson and two from Jon Anderson, who also missed a penalty.
Norton won 4-3 at home to Easingwold with goals by Chris Seager, Roy Heselewood, John Dutton and Gabby Horgan.
Two first-half goals from Paul King and one each from Johnathan Duck and Craig Fletcher put Hamilton Panthers well in control at Heworth. Paul Crangle managed to reduce the arrears before half-time and Colin Murphy added a second for Heworth after the break but Mark Moore bagged another for the Panthers to give them a 5-2 win and leave Heworth rooted to the foot of the table.
White Horse overturned the formbook with a 4-3 win at T&L Selby. A Malcolm Taylor goal gave White Horse a slender one goal lead at the break which was cancelled out by Chris Harkin but then White Horse galloped in front with a Scott Griffiths hat-trick. The home side countered with another goal from Harkin and one from Paul Tanton but they missed many chances and could not find an equaliser.
The division three title race is wide open with no less than six teams in the hunt. Sheriff Hutton remain top despite losing 2-0 at LNER Builders who have lost only one league game.
Andy Sykes made a goal for John Dean to give them the lead five minutes before the break and Sykes made sure with a goal himself in injury time.
Poppleton were undone by a goal in each half from 19-year-old Elvington Harriers striker Luke Dove.
Rawcliffe Rangers and Selby RSSC served up ten goals with the visiting Railway Club taking the points with two in the last ten minutes. Darren Wray, John Harrison (2) and Dale Phillips with a penalty were the Rangers scorers. The home side were hampered by injuries, having to make two substitutions, including their goalkeeper, at half time and then having a third player carried off with a dislocated shoulder in the second half.
Wilberfoss moved up to second with a 2-1 win at Wheldrake with goals by Lee Wiper and Shaun Hodgson. Paul Scaife scored Wheldrake's consolation.
Bottom club Marton cum Grafton lost 3-1 at Strensal whose goals came from Chris Graham and Matthew Brown.
