BATTLE Flatts Veterinary Clinic thanks the Evening Press for publicising our 2001 Give A Stray A Christmas Dinner appeal and all the readers who generously contributed to the project.
We have had an outstanding response to the appeal this year, collecting over 150kg of dry food, nearly 1,200 tins of food, hundreds of toys and treats, blankets, beds, wild bird food and corn, plus money donations.
The food is now being distributed between the RSPCA Animal Home at Landing Lane, the Cats Protection League in York, the Ryedale Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Malton and Caring for Cats in Wilberfoss.
These charities all rely very heavily on donations and greatly appreciate everything we have been able to pass on to them.
