RICH Corner (18) stood out for Bay Horse 'A' in their emphatic 8-1 win over Volunteer in the Atlas Auto Services Darts League division one encounter.
Corner was well backed by Paul Cooper (19) and Dave O'Hara, who also closed in 19 darts. Steve Johnson's bull finish prevented the whitewash.
Escrick strengthened their grip on second place at Bishopthorpe. Mark Blundell, 180 for 21 darts, Steve Limbert (21) and a brilliant 15 darter from Dave Pilmoor crowned a fine all round team performance. Tony Raymond had the best performance for Bishopthorpe.
Mick Nixon's 16-darter stood out for Tap, but Clifton 'A' team's players showed better finishing prowess, with Martyn Turner (18), Graham Sanderson (21) and Neil Hart (21) wrapping up the victory.
Jo Hodges (20) spearheaded Clifton 'B' team's comeback from 3-0 to level before Russ Turpin combined with Rob Platt to clunch victory.
Division two leaders Cygnet had Bob Greenwood (21) and John Miller (20) in good form, while Graham Hudson was best for Ebor.
John Clemit, partnering Steve Lane, were match winners for Cygnet.
A depleted Crescent 'B' team recorded a fine victory at Huntington 'A', and Crescent 'A' took the pairs games to win 6-3.
A splendid 112 finish for 18 darts from Vic Reed, followed by fine scores in his pairs, saved the aggregate for Woolpack as Simon Collins and Dave Stubbs combined to secure the win.
Huntington 'B' have gone top of division three with a fine win at Leeman, while Winning Post recorded their first win thanks to a marvellous 97 shot out for 18 darts from Craig Norrie.
Andy Gillyan stood out for Reindeer while Six Bells had their match won within the singles.
In division four, Clifton 'C' stretch their lead at the top with a resounding win at Ship, whose only point came from Henry Haystead.
Dave Clemit hit the tons as the Hospital Social Club recorded a fine win at Woodman. Roz Kerr scored well to secure the aggregate point for York Arms.
