A SCARBOROUGH farmer is appealing for help to trace dogs which killed six sheep and two lambs on his land.
They were grazing in a field on John Tyson's Stepney Hill farm, near Jacob's Mount. "The sheep are lambing at present and many are very frightened by dogs. The vet says that a number of lambs will be dead inside the ewes because they have been running around in a terrified state."
Mr Tyson, who has 400 lambs and 150 ewes, is urging people in the Stepney area to keep a look out for loose dogs, especially if they are seen jumping over fences, and is asking that they immediately contact the police.
