ON Sunday, February 10, Helmsley YFC will hold its annual ploughing match on land kindly donated by Mr F Mallory.
It's taking place on the A170, two miles west of Helmsley, between Waterloo and Court House farms. Entry to the field is via a forestry road and will be sign-posted from the A170. Entry will be on the field and ploughing will start at 10am. The entry fee will be £5, including raffle tickets.
There will be classes for conventional, reversible (open), vintage mounted and trailed, match ploughs, classics and YFC. A catering van will be in attendance.

This week, members enjoyed a game of indoor football at Ampleforth. Next week, it's the pantomime at York for members that have ordered a ticket. Tickets are £9.50 for adults and £6.75 for children. We will meet in market place at 6:15pm.
