JOAN Cockerill (Vaults) started 2002 in great style, recording 114, 125 and 88 checkout for 21 darts in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.
However, Vaults found their glory was short-lived as only Sue Claydon added as Tracey Farmeary steered Phoenix 'B' to victory.
Slip were given a lesson in finishing by leaders Brigadier as six games went to the wire as Brigadier cleaned up 7-2.
Sandra Bruce (Castle Howard Ox) and Cygnet's Dawn Exton matched each other dart for dart but Exton found the double to secure at 5-0 lead for Cygnet who had Lynn Thompson-Lynda Kennelly adding a further valuable point for a 6-3 victory.
Dringhouses beat Nags Head by the same scoreline, Sarah Bell and Shelly Moran starring.

The chasing pack are led by Leeman 'B' whose Jean Smallwood was in fine form while Holgate's Lin Gould pulled the score to 3-3. The club side gained the upper hand through Pat Rainton and Anne Smith, but Sandra Agar and Clare White set up the decider which Dot Lightfoot and Floss Crampton secured for Leeman.
Ruth Norman and Pat Nelson saw Clifton home against Leeman 'A'.
Severus strengthened their position with a splendid 8-1 win at Shepherd whose Maggie Beddingham saved their blushes.
Cygnet fell 3-0 behind to Brown Cow but hit back to win 6-3. Betty Jameson and Karen Braithwaite won the decider for Half Moon after Margaret Davis and Jenny Barron had equalised for Burton WMC.
Maxine Midgley hit two ton-plus scores in her singles and then partnered Sylvia Keenan to win the decider for division three leaders Jubilee against Leeman 'C'.
Sue Skinner hit the big scores for Tang Hall WMC but Shepherd 'B' took a 4-2 lead into the pairs, Skinner partnered Sue Wentworth to make it four all before Shepherds' captain Ann Wood and Sue Lacy gained the all important game.
Puss 'A' won all the pairs against their 'B' team, Jackie Read and Diane Scholfield securing the match while Colette Wilson starred for the losers.
Sharon Nelson and Woolpack's captain, Jackie Price, won the decider against Acomb as did Clifton's captain Linda Embleton and Angie Phillips against Woodman.
Cue Ball cleaned up 7-2 at Old Ebor. Chez Roberts and Mo Hearfield were the home side's winners.
Tap and Spile were given victory over Huntington by Gary Richardson but Cygnet 'A' reamain one point clear in York John Smith's Mixed League division one.
Cygnet had Dave Gibbons successfully taking on a 120 finish in a 6-3 win over Beeswing whose Brian Harden was a 180 scorer.
Dave O'Hara partnered Catherine Gascoigne to get Bumper's 5-4 against Cygnet 'B' while in division two Derek and Jean Smallwood safely saw Leeman 'B' to a 5-4 win against Bay Horse, Murton.
Only Anne Marie Shirreff got on the Victoria Vaults 'B' sheet at Slipper 'A' who had Roz Kerr out in 23 darts while in Slipper 'B' team's 6-3 victory at Vaults 'A', Mick Willsdend shot a fine 21 darter.
