DOUGLAS Craig's price of £4.5 million for Bootham Crescent is based on the potential development of the ground and surrounding amenities.
City of York Council, who are elected and function on behalf of the citizens of York, including football fans, should state now that planning permission will not be granted and it would remain a football ground in the foreseeable future.
It should be remembered the ground is used by other clubs including amateur cup finals.
The shares held by Craig and the board should be bought at today's price and as the club is worse off financially partly by mismanagement the price should be less than they paid for them.
