I WOULD like to express my contempt and disgust at the actions of the so-called chairman and directors of York City Football Club.
I have supported York City from the early 1950s when I was a teenager; they have always been an important part of my life.
How they can justify to themselves this action is beyond me. If they want out, fair enough, but they are destroyed the club in the process. Barry Swallow, how can you be part of this action? The times I have cheered you on are considerable and I find it very hard to understand.
I would find it quite acceptable if the directors and chairman took out what they had put in and even a small amount of interest, but they are going to make a considerable profit from this action, any profit made on the ground rightfully belongs to York City Football Club not the directors and chairman.
York is a reasonably large City and should have a football team. I hope the City Council refuses a change of use.
Come on all York City fans lets get behind the team and show the board how we feel.
Beryl Brown,
Pheasant Drive,
Acomb Wood,
York.
