York remain top of their group in the Yorkshire Over 55s League after beating Featherstone 94-55 on aggregate.
The nine points York gained puts them 19 points clear of closest rivals North Cave (21 points), with New Earswick having 20 points. However, York have played one more match than their two main challengers.
The away leg games were played first and saw Alwyn Redhead, Dave McCowan, Geoff Oglesby and Norman Vause leading 16-11 with five ends to play. But they dropped a six on the next end and their opponents scored a further eight shots to win 25-16.
In the other away rink Brian Thomas, Alwyn Johnson, Mike Pearce and Ken Patterson trailed 15-10 with seven ends to go but turned it round to win 20-16.
At home, York soon made good the aggregate deficit back as they led 8-2 after only four ends. Charlie Bateman, Peter Littlewood, Tom Ellis and Doug Mitchell won 25-8 and Fred Clayden, Dennis Haw, Noel Cammidge and Alan Storey won 33-6.
