WITH a handful of titles already under her collar, young Gertie is proving herself a winner in the world of dog shows.
Now the German short-haired pointer is preparing for her biggest challenge to date.
Later this week she will leave her home in Topcliffe, near Thirsk, and travel to London to take part in the final of the Pup Of The Year competition.
Gertie is owned by David Shields and Irene Glen.
According to Irene, Gertie not only looks good, she has plenty of personality too.
She said: "She loves digging in the garden and helping with DIY.
"We have to channel her energy in so many directions. She loves her showing, but she also loves to organise us."
The Pup Of The Year competition is sponsored by Friskies Beta and Dog World newspaper.
More than 10,000 dogs between six and 12 months old were entered nationally, but only 28 have been selected for the final.
