THE weather put paid to the majority of the Leeper Hare York and District League premier division fixtures, but two games did go ahead.
Honours were shared as Wigginton Grasshoppers and Kartiers played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in difficult conditions.
Wigginton went into the lead with a well-taken strike from Tom Coates, while Dave Crudass snapped up goal number two just before half-time.
Kartiers rallied to narrow the gap when Andy Richardson netted, only for Coates to bag his second with some good football to put the Grasshoppers 3-1 in front.
End-to-end play followed before the Selby men drew level. A long throw-in was headed on for Richardson to net his second, while his hat-trick goal quickly followed.
Riccall and Bishopthorpe played out a close game in good sporting spirit with Bishop taking a 3-2 victory.
Two goals up after 30 minutes set them on their way with Spencer Martin finding the net both times.
Riccall, who are improving with every game, rallied to pull one back, Andy Leech accepting his chance with style.
Diddy Allinson notched up Bishopthorpe's third, but Riccall set up a thrilling finale with a good strike from Paul Brough.
