YORKSHIRE have been drawn away to Devon next season in the third round of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy, writes David Warner.
And the Yorkshire Cricket Board, who recently beat the Gloucestershire Board at Bristol in the second round, have been given a home tie against Championship runners-up Somerset.
The matches will be played on Wednesday, May 29, with the following day being a reserve day, and the venues have yet to be decided.
Yorkshire have met Devon at Exmouth on two previous occasions, scraping through in 1994 but winning easily four years later.
The YCB's only previous fixture against first class opposition was in 2000 when they played the full Yorkshire side at Harrogate and were beaten by 130 runs.
Meanwhile, winning the Championship this season has brought its financial reward for Yorkshire's players, the club topping the prize-money list among the 18 first class counties.
They scooped a total of £153,700 in prize-money from first class and one-day matches, almost doubling the amount they received the previous season.
Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy winners Somerset were second in the list with £131,700, followed by Kent with £84,850.
Third round draw: Devon v YORKSHIRE, Suffolk v Northants, Shropshire v Gloucestershire, Bucks v Sussex, Norfolk v Kent, Lincolnshire v Glamorgan, Warwicks CB v Leicestershire, Ireland v Notts, Staffs v Warwicks, Cornwall v Worcs, Scotland v Surrey, YORKSHIRE CB v Somerset, Kent CB v Hampshire, Wales v Durham, *Lancs v Derbyshire, *Essex v Middlesex.
* To be played on May 24.
