Darren Lehmann has been officially confirmed as Yorkshire's new captain for next season by the club's general committee.
The star Australian batsman takes over from David Byas who announced his retirement after leading Yorkshire to their first Championship win in 33 years last summer.
The committee had been hoping to hear if Darren Gough was staying with Yorkshire or moving elsewhere but he has still not informed them of his decision.
Gough has, however, been in contact with Yorkshire and chief executive Chris Hassell said the situation would be resolved shortly.
