Yorkshire this afternoon strenghthen their grip on the County Championship with a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Roses rivals Lancashire at Headingley.
After bowling Lancashire out for 314 in their second innings, the Tykes made rapid progress towards their victory target of 157 with Craig White and Matthew Wood putting on 55 before lunch.
Although spinner Gary Keedy snapped up three wickets - White, Wood and Darren Lehmann for a quickfire 48 - skipper David Byas and Anthony McGrath steered the White Rose side to victory and 20 points.
