Malton and Norton will find out this weekend what action the Yorkshire Three committee will take following the fiasco over their fixture with Barnsley last Saturday.
Despite the Malton side and the designated referee saying the pitch at The Gannock was playable, Barnsley refused to play, arguing it was not safe as it was too frozen.
The secretary of Yorkshire Three, Ron Lewis, was looking at the facts last night, before letting the clubs know of his decision over the course of the weekend.
"I will be speaking to both clubs in due course, but no decision has yet been made," he said.
Barnsley's case will not helped by the fact Malton's 3rd XV played Scarborough 3rds on the pitch they deemed unplayable.
The referee who was supposed to officiate the first team game even played for Scarborough for the first half, before swapping to take charge of the second 40 minutes.
If found guilty of non-fulfilment, Barnsley could be docked two points and forced to replay the clash.
