CITY midfielder Marc Thompson has returned to Bootham Crescent after a trial spell at Conference leaders Boston United.
Thompson - yet to feature in the first team this season - has been deemed surplus by City chief Terry Dolan.
It is understood Boston, where former City manager Neil Thompson is number two to Steve Evans, want to cast their eye over the utility player, pictured right, again.
Thompson, who turned out for Boston's reserves prior to Christmas in a 4-1 win over Telford, is set to return to York Street to feature in another second string game later this month.
