QUESTION: WHAT have OJ Simpson, John Major, Captain Kirk and York youth worker Jonathan Wooldridge got in common?

ANSWER: They all appear on the same Trivial Pursuit card.

The former York College teacher was amazed to discover a question had been created about him on the famous board quiz game following a terrifying knife attack 9,000 feet up in the Himalayas in 1994.

The Evening Press reported that the brave 33-year-old had to stagger three miles down the mountain to get help after being stabbed in the chest by bandits during a four-week trekking holiday.

But astonishingly, years later, his friend was playing Trivial Pursuit and discovered a question about Jonathan's ordeal.

It read: What was walker Jonathan Woodridge 9,000 feet up in when he was beaten and robbed by a mugger?

Answer: The Himalayas.

"I couldn't believe it," said Jonathan, who is now a youth worker at St Paul's Church, in Holgate. "It's my biggest claim to fame.

"The worst thing is they spelled my name wrong.

"My old college friend was playing the game with his friends when my question was read out. No one thought he could answer it, but he shouted back 'I know him!' at the top of his voice."

Jonathan has now laminated the question card and hung it in his living room.
