DURING the last 20 years we have witnessed the erosion of our social infrastructure to an intolerable level. The main reason for this decline can be put fairly and squarely on the fact that the defence budget for the last 25 years has exceeded the European average by £625 billion. The amount under-invested in such as the health service in comparison with Europe was £270 billion below the average. The circumstances of the massive over-investment in defence has never been questioned in the British Parliament and never will be. The reason is to protect the private investments of the City of London abroad.
If ever there was a case for the promotion of a Parliament for England outside London this is it. We just cannot continue like this any longer.
