DEBUTANT Phil Jones had a dream start for Dringhouses in the York Leeper-Hare District League premier division clash at home to Riccall.
Jones fired the hosts in front and though Riccall mustered a leveller from Phil Brough's direct free-kick shortly after half-time, the Jones boy struck again.
Lee Atkinson was then on target to round off Dringhouses' 3-1 triumph.
Reigning champions Old Malton took the spoils at Tonwtrees. where they won 1-0.
Both sides created numerous chances as the respective midfields battled it out to take control and get on top.
Visiting Old Malton had the edge. As they lifted their game, they broke down the right flank from where Shaun Wilford detonated a fierce drive to flash into the net.
Old Malton sort to increase their slender advantage, but the Rowntree rearguard defended resolutely.
Huntington entertained neighbours Wigginton Grasshoppers in a hard-fought game that all-square ended with a share of the points from a 2-2 draw.
Rovers were stronger in the first-half by the end of which they led 2-0 thanks to a brace of goals from Paul Downes thanks to assists from Jack Wilson and Pat Noon.
But the Grasshoppers would not buckle and in the second-half rallied to equalise with goals shared between Dave Cruddas and Tom Mathews.
Right from the kick-off Boroughbridge were on the attack at home to New Earswick, but failed to take advantage of some easy chances that were there for the taking.
It was fairly even in the early stages, before Oliver Uffindall finally fired Boroughbridge into the lead.
Just before half time, New Earswick rallied and Lee Craven levelled.
Five minutes into the second half Rob Timms bagged a second for the Bridge and the game started to ebb their way.
A long clearance from goalkeeper Alisdair Hogg gave Uffindall the chance to land his second before in the last few minutes Guy sealed the points with a crisp finish.
Kartiers gave a worthy performance to inflict a 3-1 defeat on visitors Pocklington.
The Pocklington ranks had drawn first blood, Charlie Booth on target with a well-executed goal.
After the break, Russell Seagrave levelled for Kartiers, who then took control and eventually the points thanks to goals from Owen Ellis and Arran Craggs.
Dunnington downed a depleted Rufforth side 4-0.
The hosts were two up at half time with goals from Mike Walker and Andy Rose. Rose found the net for his second and Dave Chandler bagged the fourth with his first goal this season.
