MY daughter, three-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter and I went to the Grand Opera House pantomime for the Saturday matinee. It was my granddaughter's first pantomime and the cost was more than £30.
I haven't been to a panto for some years but surely the fairy godmother normally wears a very pretty outfit, including a dress, not hot pants?
There were also very few sweets thrown out.
I will not be attending another panto at the Opera House.
Instead, I will go to either the Theatre Royal which sold double the tickets (no wonder) or out of York.
I suggest that the Opera House think again.
