THE uniquely charming chapel at York Cemetery will be playing host to a traditional carol concert tonight.
The White Rose Singers will be at the Grade II listed chapel from 7.30pm for an event featuring seasonal readings and a range of traditional carols.
Warden Hugh Goudge has been busy decking the chapel with festive decorations in preparation for the event. After Christmas, the Friends of York Cemetery invites residents to bring their Christmas trees, with roots, to be planted in the cemetery rather than be shredded.
Mince pies and non-alcoholic punch will be available after tonight's concert.
