HUNDREDS of farmers and their families enjoyed a free Christmas party on December 15 at Laycock's Animal Health in Showfield Lane, Malton.
The firm organised the event to give a lift to the farming community after the very tough year they have been weathering.
"The day was a complete success, with many people meeting for the first time this year," said Laycock's manager Chris Jeffery. "Foot and mouth restrictions have meant no markets, no shows and no regular meeting points for many farmers.
"The event gave everyone involved in farming a chance to meet up for a really good day out."
Among the many presented was MP John Greenway who helped Mr Jeffery make the Christmas prize draw.
