CUEBALL Club Winter Pool League entered a second week with familiar patterns surfacing.
Tramways WMC routed Cueball Club 'B' 11-1 with two each from Joe Goddard, Lee Winspear, Martin Oxberry and Glen Thackeray to join Health Club as early leaders of the premier division.
Health Club beat White Rose 10-2 thanks to two each from Mark Gerrard, Glen Raisbeck and Ian Baxter.
Cueball Club 'A' thrashed Volunteer Arms 'B' 11-1 with two each from Gary Penrose, Steve Bradley, Paul Farmeary and Andy Tomlinson, while Caravan Club beat Edinburgh Arms 9-3 to stay in contention.
In division one Dave and Danny Butler helped Turf Tavern 'A' to victory over Huntington SC.
The other two matches were drawn. Nigel South saved the match for Poppleton Road WMC against Tam O Shanter 'A' for whom Mark Campbell won twice.
Phil Curran put Bootham Tavern ahead against Bay Horse Marygate with Steve Martin replying for the home team.
Dick Turpin are already threatening to walk away with division two after hammering Bishopthorpe SC 11-1 with two apiece from Andy Smith and Lisa and Nigel Macdonald.
Two from Pete Nelson and D Seaman gave Acomb Hotel victory at Brown Cow, while Ian Powell and Jim McPhie won twice for Ainsty and Fulford Arms respectively as they ended all-square.
Pack Of Cards 'B' scored a 10-2 win at Tam O'Shanter 'B' in division three. Dave Potter, Jamie Innes and Mark Taylor won two each.
Beeswing punished the ladies in the Pack Of Cards 'A' team by the same scoreline, 10-2, with a brace of wins each from Rich Collins, Chris Coundon, and Roy Spence.
Two successes from Alan Sage gave Turf Tavern 'B' victory against Bay Horse Fulford for whom Jason Powney won twice.
The following teams are no longer in the league and are now free weeks: division one - Caravan Club 'B'; division two - Bay Horse Fulford 'A'; division three - Crystal Palace.
