Anglers' World took full advantage of their home venue on the Ouse below York to win the fourth round of the Yorkshire Winter Angling League and stay ahead in the league.
With the river running low and clear and bright conditions overhead, the match was, predictably, dominated by catches of roach.
Stan Jeffries (Armley Angling) made no mistake after drawing the noted end peg on the Palace bank.
Alternating maggot and caster beneath a stick float he netted a steady flow of small roach and perch to weigh in with 4lb 10oz to finish ahead of his 69 rivals.

Level in third place were Paul Burton (Anglers' World) and Andy Hampson (Hirst Tackle 'A'), who each netted 3lb 10oz of pole-caught roach and perch.
Burton fished from above the stone trough in the pumper and Hampson was fishing from the middle peg in the paddock.

He nearly doubled the weight recorded by the runner-up and won £270 in the process.
Drawn to fish from peg 64 he pole-fished maggot at 14 metres for a string of small carp, with odd better fish to 3lb, and finished with 46lb 8oz.

Fishing long rod and stick with maggot at peg eight he netted 80 roach to a pound for his 11lb 3oz.
