YORK MP Hugh Bayley spent a lunchtime as Father Christmas when he dropped in to help serve up a festive lunch for York pensioners.
Mr Bayley swapped the House of Commons for Age Concern York's social club at Lincoln Court, which is one of five clubs providing turkey lunches this week to pensioners across York.
The clubs also cater for pensioners at Alex Lyon House and Gale Farm Court and run afternoon tea groups.
Volunteers provide most of the services at the clubs. Any pensioners or volunteers interested in getting involved are welcome to telephone Age Concern on 01904 627995.
