FORMER York City hit-man Iain Dunn shook off the trauma of being in a car crash to send Harrogate Town through to the third round of the FA Trophy.
Dunn, who started his League career at Bootham Crescent before spells at Chesterfield, Huddersfield and Scunthorpe, was originally doubtful to play last night because of whiplash, but he netted both goals in the 2-1 victory over Kendal Town.
Dunn, who missed Saturday's victory over Ashton, was due to start on the bench, but with Stephen Ball falling ill and Scott Bonsall injuring his back - both on the coach on the way to the match - the veteran striker was called up.
"It was a fantastic result everything considered and I now can't wait to face my old club Doncaste," said Town boss John Reed.
Dunn's goals, coming in a six-minute spell in the first half, helped earn Town a trip to Doncaster Rovers - the home town club of boss Reed - in the next round on January 12.
But it also took outstanding saves from 'keeper Ashley Connor in the second half to ensure Town's victory, especially after Dave Merris had been sent off for his second yellow card.
