IRISHMAN Ken Doherty was today waiting to find out who he will play tomorrow in the UK Snooker Championship final at York's Barbican Centre.
A fluke shot last night gave him a 9-7 semi-final victory against Stephen Lee.
Doherty, needing pink to win the 16th frame and a place in the final, saw the ball roll into a baulk pocket after having gone off three cushions.
He admitted afterwards that he was lucky with the fluke shot but delighted to be making his second appearance in the final. Seven years ago he lost to Stephen Hendry.
It was a disappointing match and both players struggled throughout to find form.
Doherty's opponent tomorrow will be either world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan or world number one Mark Williams, who started their semi-final this afternoon and finish it tonight starting at 6.45pm.
Tomorrow's final is best of 19 frames, starting at 2pm and with the evening session at 8pm.
