BOXES of Christmas cheer will be winging their way across Europe - thanks to the efforts of pupils at Joseph Rowntree School in York.
Year Seven pupils at the school have been working to pack boxes with toys, games, school supplies, toiletries, clothing and cards for the Operation Christmas Child project run by the charity Samaritans' Purse.
Children prepared and wrapped the boxes at school, with some buying new toys with their pocket money.
