Wigginton opened up the race for the John Smith's Sunday League division one title with a remarkable 4-3 victory at previously unbeaten Volunteers.
Starting the game with only ten men they quickly took a two-goal lead through Adam Wash.
Lee Bond pulled one back from the penalty spot before half-time. Wigginton's Fisher was then injured just into the second half and had to go off but this didn't stop nine-man Wigginton from taking a 4-1 lead through Matthews and Thompson.
Dickinson was then given his marching orders reducing the visitors to eight men.
Another Bond spot-kick and a further strike from Steve Ward reduced the deficit but despite bombarding the Wigginton goal Volunteers couldn't find an equaliser.
New Earswick took over at the top after thumping Zafs 7-1 with Kev Deighton scoring a hat-trick.
Severus WMC are also in the title hunt after a resounding 8-2 home win over Acomb WMC with John Lake hitting three goals.
Cygan (3) and Jackson (2) were among the scorers as Hounds beat FC Magnet 7-4 for whom Wilson was on target twice.
Neil Ducey also scored a treble as Pack of Cards returned to winning ways with a 5-1 home win over Marcia.
In division two Blacksmiths Arms consolidated their leadership with a 2-0 win at Fulford Bay courtesy of an own goal from Andy Leaf and a John Griffin goal.
David O'Conner hit a hat trick, Barry Gargett, Michael Murr, Eeles and Daniels all scored twice and Bond once as Pocklington showed nine-man Shipton no mercy in a 13-0 win.
Chris Harkin also scored a hat trick as Selby Olympia beat Riccall 8-0.
Division three leaders The Mount took an early 2-0 lead through Nichol and Harman but Nestl Flag clawed their way back with a Gatenby strike before the break. Steven Kendall then equalised and should have won the game for Flag but had his spot-kick saved by Redpath.
Otis Bar won 5-0 at St Clement's. Brown (2), Allison, Hobson and Pickering scored.
Wigginton GH moved to the top of division four with a 2-1 win over Acomb Celtic courtesy of goals from Murphy and Roberts, Dickinson scored for Acomb Celtic who had Gregory sent off.
Preston gave Keystones a first-half lead at Haxby Lions but the hosts hit back through Sullivan and an own goal to win 2-1.
Jon Sutton (2) Andy Thompson and Mike Nelson (penalty) gave Fulford WMC a 4-1 win at Linton-on-Ouse for whom Mason scored.
Despite falling behind to a first half goal by Sam England for Sporting CS, Greyhound produced one of their best DIVISION FIVE performances of the season to win 4-1 win with goals from Paul Gardener (2), Paul Musson and Tim Kniveton.
Northern Spirit took a fifth-minute lead through Neil Yeowart against Inland Revenue whose Lund equalised on the half hour. Yeowart put Spirit ahead again but Dawson levelled from 30 yards with his first goal for the club. Revenue took command in the second half scoring five times without reply through Robinson (2), M Lund, Ellis and Topham, who, after a run from his own half, beat four defenders before firing low into the net.
Chris Collier hit three as Boy and Barrel continued their fine form with a 5-2 win at Knavesmire.
Division six pace-setters Hambleton were held to a 1-1 draw by resurgent Poppleton Road Red Stars who led through James Elcock. Kings Arms moved back to the top with a 4-3 win over Beefeater.
Burton Stone once again threw away a good lead when going down 4-3 at home to Barlby.
A Dave Williams' penalty and an own goal gave them a 2-0 lead. Hughes pulled one back but straight from the kick off Baxter made it 3-1. Second half goals from Hughes, Wilks and Hickling gave Barlby the points.
