Wigginton won the latest 'battle of York' with a 5-0 whitewash of city opponents York in the premier division of the Yorkshire Squash League.
A crowd of more than 60 strong crowded into Wigginton Squash Club to witness the nap hand in which the hosts avenged an earlier 3-2 defeat by York.
The visitors' cause was not helped by the absence of current York champion Nathan Hill, but apart from a marathon opening five-setter between number five pairing Ian Tooms and former York champion Steve Hodgson, the other four ties were emphatically won by Wigginton.
