THE cheerful ingenuity of traders in parts of York city centre remains a little marvel.
Shops in the Quarter, covering the Swinegate area, are once again putting on a special effort to lure visitors into their colourful backwater. Street food, fires, stone carving and a nine-foot angel will be seen as part of the now annual Festival of Angels. All that and ice sculptures too. With such effort and imagination, the shops in the Quarter deserve every festive success.
