IN response to Mr Leveson's letter (Evening Press, December 7), he states surgeons are human beings treating human beings. I recently had an operation in York District Hospital and beg to differ with this remark.
Mr Leveson was my consultant surgeon and removed my gall bladder. Having suffered acute pain and stress for two years he has given me back quality of life and freedom from pain.
One human being treating another human being? No I don't agree. Mr Leveson is a rare breed: a dedicated, highly skilled and very caring individual who has the ability to make his patients feel more than just human beings.
