SPOT the film star helping York-based Animalcare to launch a website club for its pioneering Identichip for animals.
Purdy, the dog from the film version of 101 Dalmatians, is being used to promote 101 reasons for pet owners whose animals have been chipped in their neckscruff to visit the Dunnington firm's new club site at www.identiclub.co.uk
The website marks the impending millionth animal bearing the company's identification microchip - and draws attention to the privileges these pet owners now enjoy.
For instance, the new UK pet passport is valid only if the animal has an identifying microchip and there are insurance premium benefits.
It also tells happy tales of owners re-united with their pets thanks to the waving of an electronic scanner wand over the microchipped area.
Yorkshire PR and design consultancy, ...Talk, borrowed Purdy - real name Gigi - from her Lincolnshire owner, Tracey Czajka for a promotional photoshoot.
..Talk managing director Kevin Ellis, who posed with the dotty dog said: "You only have to meet Gigi once to see she has real star quality which comes across so clearly in the film."
