IN consecutive York John Smith's Men's League matches Poacher's Gary Kynman has blazed out in 15 darts.
Against Shepherd 'B', who had Alan Yates opening in 19 darts Kynman closed his splendid game with a tremendous 144 out-shot. Poacher went on to win 7-2, Lee Brundrett checking 100.
Apart from a fine 180 for 19 darts by Garry Strider, and a plucky pairs performance by Mark Gamble-Keith Mercer, Victoria Vaults felt the full force of the division one leaders, Shepherd 'A'.
Mick Willsden shot an excellent 18 darts. Rod Thompson gamed in 19 and Barry Davidson included a 180 score.
Aided by 19 from Steve Swithenbank and 21 by Alistair Horne, Saddle went 4-2 up. However they came out of the match with only the aggregate as Cygnet took the pairs for victory, Keith Turner and Dave Mason combining for the decider.
Lee Mason and Andy Turpin starred in a 6-3 win for Yearsley against Green Tree 'B', whose Gary Wenley gamed in 18. Dringhouses raced to a shock 3-0 lead over Sun but finally lost 6-3.
Trafalgar's Kelvin Frankel and Rich Stevenson each chalked 21 darts, but 21 from Mick Lambert put Flag in with a chance and big-scoring Gordon Foster and John Booth responded to get a 5-4 win.
Osbaldwick consolidated their lead in division two with a 5-4 at Swan.
Despite a fine 20 darts from Stuart Shaw, second-placed Cygnet 'B' lost 6-3 to Lighthorseman.
Green Tree 'A' had Pete Race-Rich Beddows backing 20 darts from Kev Pallister and to get a 5-4 win over Slip, who saved a point with Mick Shepherd-Alan Ashley. Slip's Pete Ella included 180.
Holgate's 6-3 at Institute 'B', whose Phil Taylor took out a bullseye finish, takes them into joint second-place.
Phil Pitman too ended with bull for game but Sun 'B' failed to contain Groves who took the match 6-3, Chris Flanagan gaming in 20.
Gavin Ross and Ian Gradwell clinched a Phoenix victory over Institute 'A'.
Phoenix 'B' fired on all cylinders against Nags Head, following a splendid 140, 125 for 17 darts from Angie Hields in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.
Dot Dykes partnered Betty Tate to save Nags from a whitewash. Castle Howard Ox's Sandra Bruce was a triple-ton scorer as she partnered Karen Alton to victory in the decider against Slip.
Dawn Exteon (140, 100) shone in the singles, then followed with two pairs tons as Cygnet won 6-3 from 3-1 down to Dringhouses.
Sarah Jackson took the opener for Clifton but Brigadier romped to 5-1 up, Roz Kerr sealing the win.
Babs Harrison (25) was best for Phoenix 'A' as they fired a 6-3 score against Slipper.
Rachel Potter and Kath Williams secured division two leaders Britannia 'A' a 5-4 win over second-placed Leeman 'B'.
Cygnet won 7-2 against Burton WMC. Ronnie Straughan scored well.
Clifton 'A' eclipsed Moon, whose Dorothy Bruce was their only singles winner. Jo Hodgson sealed victory for Clifton.
Tracey Yeomans (119, 105) ensured Leeman 'A' entered the pairs on level terms. But Severus edged ahead through Val Long-Sheila Elliott and Linda Davies (133). Sue Richardson took the win.
Jubilee kept their unbeaten division three run going with 6-3 against close rivals Shepherd, Angela Lancaster winning the match.
Tang Hall WMC slid into second place with a good Sue Skinner game against Puss 'B'.
Drawn pair entry forms must be returned by Monday.
