A NOVEL farm diversification enterprise has been approved by the North York Moors National Park Authority in the remote village of Westerdale. Jonathan Murray has been given permissionto create the first green burial site in the park at his Brown Hill House Farm. He estimates there will be about 20 burials a year. Ashes will also be scattered at the site and Mr Murray says people will be encouraged to use biodegradable coffins.
