York and District Snooker Association's new Junior Handicap League has got under way with two divisions.
Matches are played once a fortnight over three frames, with one point for each frame won and one bonus point for a 3-0 win.
In the first set of division one matches Kevin Gregson beat Craig Jackson 2-1, Tom Smithson beat Daniel Calpin 2-1 and the game between Adam Scaife and Paul Brollys has to be replayed because of a misunderstanding.
In division two Graeme Skingle beat Gary Butcher 2-1 as did Matthew Smith against Lee Gregson.
