AWARDS were presented to pupils across the age range at an annual ceremony held by Huntington School in York.
The ceremony took place at the University of York's Central Hall and the guest speaker was former pupil Jim Dawson, who now works in the sports industry.
A letter was also read out from former pupil Jo Grummitt, who is now working and travelling in Africa as part of her "gap year".
She said she had been teaching English in Togo and was about to start travelling.
Huntington School has links with a school in Ouagadougou, a town in Burkina Faso, and Jo said she was hoping to travel there to visit a friend she had written to "online" as part of the link-up.
Pupils received awards for Commitment to Academic Work and Commitment to the Life of the School.
