Andy Crook, who is making a name for himself as a trainer since he took over the reins from Micky Hammond in the summer, can add to his tally of winners at his local Catterick course tomorrow.

Middleham-based Crook saddles Kandy Four in the North Yorkshire Handicap Chase and this promising six-year-old is napped to record a deserved first success of the campaign.

Kandy Four has finished in the frame in all three of his completed starts and finished a good second to Sharpastrizam at Wetherby last time.

West-country jockey Joe Tizzard, who took the mount that day, teams-up with Kandy Four again tomorrow in what will be a rare appearance for the rider at this track. His long journey north should pay dividends.

Teme Valley gets my vote in the Richmondshire Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.

Trained by Howard Johnson, whose horses are in decent form, Teme Valley chased home Call Me Jack at Sedgefield recently. A reproduction of that form will probably be good enough to win tomorrow.

John Upson has his horses in cracking form again now after a lengthy spell in the doldrums and the Midlands trainer can lift the Teeside Handicap Chase with Bowles Patrol.

The nine-year-old scored at Sedgefield recently and is at his best when stamina is at a premium. He will be in his element over this distance of almost three-and-a-quarter miles.

Seattle Alley looks the one to be on in the Scoton Selling Handicap Hurdle.

At Plumpton, Four Mile Clump has an excellent chance of repeating his recent Hereford success in the London Business Centre Amateur Riders' Handicap Chase.

The seven-year-old galloped home nine lengths clear of Sir Robbo that day.
