I AM a resident of Sutton who uses the Sutton to Huby Road, where David Williamson died, once a week. I have told the police nothing about the murder because I know nothing. This is probably true of almost everyone in the village.
What do you hope to achieve by vilifying the entire population of Sutton (Editorial, November 30)? Do you seriously suggest Mr Williamson was attacked by or in the presence of a large crowd of us?
The police know as well as the rest of us that there is probably only one witness to this gruesome crime, and that will be the person least likely to come forward for anything. Attacking the rest of us is unwarranted and cheap.
And yes, I went for the DNA screening.
