NEW seems to be the key word at the Huntington Stadium at the moment, but will the new coach, players, sponsors and even kit live up to fans' hopes tomorrow?
Whitehaven Warriors make the trip for the Northern Ford Premiership opener (kick-off 3pm), and will either fuel or dampen the burning desires of the home supporters.
The memories of 2000/01 still cut deep, but these will go a long away to being healed with a victory against the Cumbrians.
However, in his first line-up of the season, coach Leo Epifania has picked seven of the side who finished last season against Leigh Centurions, including five members of the pack.
Added to the line-up though is some much-needed experience in Kiwi international duo Peter Edwards and Carl Hall.
The quality in the Whitehaven line-up lies in the hands of Great Britain Under 21s half-back Robert Purdham.
Led by skipper Aaron Lester and coach Paul Cullen the Warriors have set themselves the ultimate goal of top spot, although a finish in the top eight looks more likely.
But this will not stop Epifania showing them plenty of respect.
"We can't take any team lightly," he said.
"We will have to show them all respect."
